Volunteers who are not at least 18 years of age will need to have parent or guardian sign a Minor Waiver. Minors must be 14-17 years of age and can only work in certain committees and must be accompanied by an adult for their entire shift.
Thank you for showing interest in volunteering at Barber Motorsports Park. We have added two more events to the calendar this year and 2009 promises to be the most exciting year the Park has experienced. Zoom Motorsports and Barber Motorsports Park could not host these events without the hard work of the Volunteer Team. If you are interested in being a member of the 2009 Volunteer Team please review the following information and send in your application as soon as you can. Although we cannot guarantee a specific position in shifts, all requests will be considered. Positions are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

 

After a shift is full you must be willing to fit in wherever we feel you would be of most benefit to the overall organization of the Volunteer Team. There are many benefits to being a volunteer. Although it's not free, we think you will find the value heavily outweighs the cost.

Step 2 - Uniform Information
T-Shirt Size    Please remember, shirts are ordered based on what you mark on this application so you may be stuck with the shirt you order even if it doesn't fit. We will do our best to trade out a better fitting size depending on availability. Hats are one size fits all. Volunteers should also wear khaki pants or shorts and preferably tennis or jogging shoes. It is also recommended that volunteers bring sunglasses, sunscreen, an extra snack or water and any other personal item one might need during their shift.

 

Step 3 - Race/Committee/Shift Preference

 

Volunteers who sign up for two or more races can choose one ticket for any NASA, SCCA or WERA spectator event, three races, one ticket to any two events and four or more races, one ticket to all three events. You will be able to select your tickets on Step 2.

Sign up for 3 or more events on the 2009 calendar and you'll be registered to win a hot lap around the world famous Barber Motorsports Park racing circuit, courtesy of the Porsche Sport Driving School. 3 lucky winners will be chosen shortly after the Porsche 250 presented by Legacy Credit Union.

The cost to volunteer is $20.00 for one event, $35.00 for two events, $50.00 for three events, $65.00 for four events and $75.00 for five events.
